Module 3 - Technology
This module stretched me as I knew very little about Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and felt disadvantaged, as I knew my younger classmates had studied this greatly in their more recent schooling. I was also challenged by having to prepare a presentation on UDL, as I have never prepared a professional development workshop in my life! (And I think I will keep it that way!).

This module also caused me to hesitate initially due to the title of "Technology". Technology and I have never been good friends, but I have now learned about many programs that can be very helpful for ELLs. I could see from the discussion posts that many of my classmates have used certain computer programs and apps with their students, and seemed to be quite excited and comfortable with this. Again, I have never taught a class with ELLs so my situation is different. I do know that some people feel technology is very important (and at times the be all and end all), but I am still not convinced. I see technology as a tool, very separate from excellent teaching. However, due to my classmates' enthusiasm, I may be more willing to step outside of my comfort zone and try some of the programs and apps that could support ELLs. Below are some of the programs that my classmates either tried or recommended. You may want to do the same!
